Pink is almost every little girls favorite color and what’s better than pink is having different shades of it in your wedding details. Add some greenery and a pop of wine and you get this elegant and colorful look that Heidi had on her wedding day!
Of course, when you hire a professional wedding planner & design artist, like Caroline la Rocca that translates your ideas in beautiful designs, then you know you can’t go wrong!
Heidi & Dizzy’s day started at Hotel Roanoke, where they got ready with the wedding party, then moved to Virginia Mountain Vineyards for their ceremony & reception.
If you’ve ever doubted including children in your wedding, check out these images. Starting with the groom’s boys that were so eager to see their father’s spouse walking down the aisle up to the cutest flower girls and ring bearer around, they totally made the more exciting and fun!
Here are some facts on Heidi & Dizzy!
How they met: Heidi & Dizzy met a wedding! One of her best friends married one of Dizzy's cousins.
How he proposed: Dizzy took Heidi on a trip to Rome, Italy for her birthday!!! The second day they were there, they went on a seven-hour walking tour around Rome, followed by a ten-course dinner at a restaurant overlooking the city called Imágo “the best restaurant in the entire world” said Heidi. After dinner, they took a walk and ended up at the top of the Spanish Steps in Piazza di Spagna. They started to go down them and he bought roses from vendors all the way down the steps until they got to the bottom, where she ended up having a big bouquet of red roses!!! At that point he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him!! “We got a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc at a nearby cafe to celebrate. It was like a movie” Heidi said.
Her favorite moment from the wedding day: I have two favorite parts. The first one was when I watched a video of my husband-to-be open his wedding gift and read his letter I wrote him the morning of our wedding. I had my maid of honor, Taylor, take them to him and she videoed it for me. He had such a sweet reaction and it made me genuinely so giddy and excited to see him later that day. My other favorite part was when I saw Dizzy, Tate, and Hank at the end of the aisle when I turned the corner. Dizzy looked so genuinely happy and it made me so happy, and the boys peeked around their dad to see me coming down the aisle. It was such a sweet sight. That moment was everything I had dreamed of for so long!
His favorite moment from the wedding day: My favorite thing about the wedding was Heidi's speech to my two little boys. That speech took them from "my" little boys to "our" little boys.
