Margaret & Jon - The Hotel Roanoke - Roanoke, VA

Margaret & Jon’s story goes all the way back to the college years where a mutual friend first introduced them. Fast forward to the closing day of their new home, Jon began to bring up where they came from, where they are now, and how he was excited to see where they would go in the future. That was the day he proposed. And what a wonderful way to do so.

These two were so much fun to work with. They were both dressed in Vera Wang designs and looked absolutely incredible in them. Margaret got Jon a boudoir photo book as a wedding gift and Jon wrote a very heartfelt letter for Margaret. It was so sweet!

For their wedding, they chose the colors navy blue, gold, and blush. They worked so well together! The Key Flower they chose was the beautiful white rose and their cake was a lemon cake with raspberry purée filling and vanilla buttercream frosting. They were wanting something bright and fresh tasting and this cake was just that!

I asked them to share their favorite moments from the day and loved that they both chose moments from the ceremony. Margaret especially loved when her and Jon were both standing up in front of all of their friends and family, but were so focused on each other that it felt like they were the only ones there.

The couple shared their first dance to Come Rain or Come Shine by Ray Charles. It was absolutely magical! They spent the rest of the evening dancing and having fun with everyone at the reception. I am so thankful that I was able to spend the day with such an incredible pair. Congrats!
