Kelly & Zach are such a wonderful couple. They met all the way back in high school. To make the story even better they met in a chemistry class! They shared mutual friends and eventually started dating at the end of their senior year.
The last night before Kelly moved back to North Carolina for grad school, Zach took her to their favorite spot in Blacksburg to watch the sunset. Zach was staying in Blacksburg to finish his graduate program so they knew that they would be living apart for at least six months. They sat and watched the sunset but when it was time to leave, Zach got on one knee and proposed. How romantic is that?
Now let's talk about the wedding day. Kelly was wearing a stunning Stella York dress and Zach was dressed in Calvin Klein. They were both dressed incredibly! The key colors for this wedding were blue, green, and blush and I don't think I could pick a better combo for these two.
Kelly & Zach ended up exchanging gifts before the ceremony. The best part of this is that they both got watches from the same store with a similar message engraved on the back. It was totally unplanned! The flowers for the wedding were all locally grown lisianthus, alias, and zinnias. The colors were just so beautiful.
The details of the reception were so touching! Most of the decorations were handmade items. The guest book canvas was hand-painted by Kelly's sister. It made everything feel so personal and it was just perfect. For the cake, they chose to do something a little untraditional and do donuts instead. During the reception, they shared their first dance to Ed Sheehan's Tenerife Sea. It was a magical moment for them!
I asked these two what their favorite moments from the day were. Zach loved being at the altar with Kelly, holding her hands. He felt like it was just the two of them up there and it was all meant to be. Kelly especially loved being on the dance floor with Zach and all of their friends and family. It was great that they were able to spend the day with all of their favorite people!
