Nicole & Mark have such a romantic story. They met their senior year of high school where Mark asked Nicole to prom. He asked her using a napkin with “Prom?” handwritten on it inside a picnic basket. Years later, he proposed in a similar way but instead he wrote “Marry Me?”

Margaret & Jon’s story goes all the way back to the college years where a mutual friend first introduced them. Fast forward to the closing day of their new home, Jon began to bring up where they came from, where they are now, and how he was excited to see where they would go in the future. That was the day he proposed. And what a wonderful way to do so.

Jennifer & Jim were introduced through their mutual friend, Gretchen. The two met for the first time at Blue 5 for some cocktails. Jennifer was new in town and hardly knew anyone but Jim on the other hand seemed to know everyone! That night, Jennifer was introduced to several of Jim’s friends and family members that also happened to be there. A few days later, the two had a proper dinner date and then another date hiking to Devil’s Marble Yard. Three years later and here they are!

Jessica and Alec have been such a joy to work with and I am so happy they chose me to be their wedding photographer. Their details were elegant and rustic with the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains as a backdrop. While the day brought rain and caused them to move things around, they handled it all with grace and we really had a fun time improvising!

We started the day off with getting ready at The Cambria Hotel. Everyone was relaxed and enjoying the morning. Carmella’s dress was beautiful and that top (that she got on Amazon!!!) just made it even more unique.
We then went to Braeloch. Which is where their ceremony and reception took place. All the decorations, centerpieces and hand lettered signs were done by Carmella herself!

I met Margaux & Brad and immediately fell in love with them!
I had the chance to shoot their engagement session, and then their beautiful fall wedding at Sundara.
It was October and yes, the weather decided that it was going to be a rainy day. But it was a fabulous day, cause no matter the rain and the muddy shoes, everyone had a good time and the ceremony was just as emotional as it would’ve been on a sunny day!
