Carley & Chris’s story starts way before they were aware of it. Her brother and his cousin became close friends in middle school and they would often drop hints to them about the other.
It isn’t until August 2016, when Carley reaches out to Chris asking him to meet for coffee for some career advice that they start getting closer. Towards the end of the conversation things get a little more personal, but Chris goes back to St. Thomas. Finally in January he comes back to Roanoke and asks her on an official date, which led to a date every day until he left again.
In November he took her on a scavenger hunt around Roanoke to some places that were special to them and proposed in the same spot where he told her he loved her for the first time! They then went back to her parent’s house where they had a surprise engagement party with their friends and family!
For their engagement pictures we went tree picking at Hamill Tree Farm and then downtown Roanoke ice skating.
