Emily & Danny are one of a kind, kinda couple. After shooting their engagement portraits I knew their wedding was going to be unique!
While most couples getting married in December stay away from Christmas colors, Emily went all the way in! Starting with her bridesmaids dresses, her flowers and she even had snowflakes lighting throughout the ceremony!
The bridesmaids were all wearing different color dresses, (red, purple, gold, silver, green & blue). And even though her key flower was poinsettas, she included Christmas ornaments in them!
The cake was a yummy marble cake. Emily likes chocolate while Danny likes Vanilla so that is how they compromised! And even that was decorated with Christmas ornaments.
One of her favorite moments of the day was when her father saw her in her wedding dress! He had been wanting to see the dress for months. I’m glad she waited, that moment is something she will cherish forever.
I asked to her to tell me a story about her wedding day and she said that one thing that continues to stick out in her mind was the fact that several married women kept telling her to make sure she enjoyed her wedding day because it goes by in the blink of an eye. “I remember distinctly that I kept stopping and looking around at all of my family and friends and I would take it all in, which meant the world to me. There was nothing that was rushed and at no point did I feel I couldn’t stop and just enjoy the most important day of my life”.
It sure was a unique wedding and I am so glad I had the chance to witness and document it, but also to get to know them, their family and friends.
